Programs to PurchaseHopsportshttp://www.hopsports.com/
I was able to get this program through a grant along with all the equipment needed for the videos. Students love completing the ladder stations while I am giving the physical fitness test. For young students K - 1, active story times has the students moving while also listening to some story books. Lazy town on TV, Lazy town in Hopspots, students get so excited as most of them know what this show is. I was able to use Spark during my student teaching. Teachers would receive a large box of cards with activities on each. Pull out the card and begin the activity! |

I have found some amazing games from these small, focused books, that I haven't seen anywhere else. Books like these are always included in my budget, even if its just one! Here are my "go to" books...
Gym Scooter, Fun and Games by Guy Baily Having a Ball, Stability Ball Games by John Byl Parachute Games With DVD by Todd Strong and Dale N. LeFevre |
Don't forget about...
Checking for your state's PE conventions. Most convention have teachers offering their best activities and great way to network for more ideas.
Professional Development
I have found these schools to offer excellent courses that are affordable and provide either a refresher or great new ideas such as "Games from Around the World."
